Johne was born before 1600 in County Sussex, England.7 Johne married Catheryne Butcher on 21 November 1620 in Chichester, County Sussex, England, at St. Andrew's Church.8 Sometime in the mid 1630's, Johne & his wife, Catheryne, left London aboard the ship, bound for New England. They probably arrived at the Boston harbor in the mid 1630's. The name of their ship is uncertain..9,10 John & his family, along with twelve other families - Rev. John Young, William Wells. Jacob Corey, Peter Hallock, John Tuthill, Richard Terry, Thomas Mapes, Mathias Corwin, Robert Ackerly, Isaac Arnold, Barnabas Horton & John Conklin - sailed to Long Island where they settled at Southold. He sold land in Southold. On 9 March 1659, John's wife, Catherine, & their son, John, son John's wife Mary & Sarah, wife of Robert Tredwell had to acknowledge the consent of the sale. The family removed & resided in Rye, Westchester County, New York.11,12 Johne made his will on 15 October 1669 at Rye, Westchester County, New York.
Know all men by these presence that I John Budd for divers consiederations have given and granted to John Budd my sonn all my part of the mill on Blind brooke and all lands that are undisposed of to him and his heires forever he or his assignes payeing me John Budd or his mother Katheren Budd thirty pounds a year in good pay that is to say wheat 20 pounds porck one Barrell pease the rest and I do give John Budd by these presents all my estate in cattell and debts to be freely his that he may dispose of all for the good of myselfe and wife that we may be freed from trouble and after our decease too discharge our will and to have our debts cattell and to pay all legases and debts and that John Ogden Juddey his wife and Joseph Horton and Joan his wife, John Horton, Joseph Horton, and John Budd and his son John Budd Mary Niccolls alias Mary Young, John Lyons these are to injoy their lotts as firm as if no such writing had never been and the true intent of this writing is that we may have our thirty pounds a year truly payd and the Benefit of our cattell while we live and after to be John Budds my sonn to him and his heires for ever to which I have sett my hand and seale this 15 of October one Thousand six Hundred sixty Nine.

John & his wife do not appear ill, they just want to be free of responsibility and to be able to enjoy their life of relasation.13 Johne departed this life before 10 July 1683 in Rye, Westchester County, New York. On this date, his son John gives to his sister Judith her inheritance from her father as per his will of 13 October 1669.

- [S1757] The Great Migration: Passengers of the Hector, 1637 & 1638: The immigrants had sold their belongings in preparation for their immigration to New England, but the government impressed the "Hector" for its own service. The owners petitioned for its release in January 1637, but was not freed until May. It arrived at Boston, from London, on June 26, 1637 according to the records of John Winthrop.
