     Elizabeth was born circa 1584 in County Suffolk, England.1 Elizabeth married Thomas Paine, son of Thomas Payne and Katheren Harssant, on 22 November 1610 in England. On 15 May 1637, Elizabeth and her husband Thomas immigrated on the ship "Mary Anne" left from Yarmouth, England.2 Elizabeth's husband, Thomas, died before 21 January 1640 in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts, leaving her a widow; On 21 January 1640, his widow & three others were granted 20 acres a piece provided they continue on the plantation.3 Elizabeth departed this life shortly before 15 September 1658 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. The inventory of Elizabeth's estate was taken on Sunday, 15 September 1658. It was valued at 26 pounds, 19 shillings, 10 pence. It was taken by Barnabas Horton, William Purrier & Charles Glover.4
