Jacques Brissette dit Courchesne

     Jacques was born in 1648 in France. He was the son of Jacques Brissette & Jeanne Fettis. A contract for the marriage of Jacques and Marguerite Dandonneau was signed on 15 November 1672 in Champlain, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. Enumerated in this household were Jaques Brisset [33 years], Marguerite Dandonneau [23 years], Jacques [6 years], Bernard [3 years] & two servants.³ Jacques departed this life on Tuesday, 27 March 1736 in Ile-DuPas at age 88 years. He was buried there in the churchyard of La Visitation on Thursday, 29 March 1736.⁴
