Jean-Baptiste-Amable Brissette

M, b. 22 June 1752, d. 21 August 1811
     Jean-Baptiste-Amable was born on Thursday, 22 June 1752 in Ile-DuPas, Quebec, Canada.1 He was christened on the same day there in the church of La Visitation.2 A contract for the marriage of Baptiste and Genevieve Dandonneau was signed on 24 January 1778. The contract was drawn up and signed by the Notary Antoine Robin. It was noted in the contract that Baptsite's parents were Antoine Brisset & Marguerite Duto dit Villandre and that Genevieve's parents were Charles Dandonneau & Therese Salvaye.3 Jean-Baptiste-Amable's wife, Genevieve, died on 8 May 1778 in Ile-DuPas leaving him a widower. He married second on 4 August 1783, Marie Anne Desorcy dit Lincourt at Ile-duPas. Jean-Baptiste-Amable departed this life on Wednesday, 21 August 1811 in Ile-DuPas at age 59 years, 1 month and 30 days.4 He was buried there in the churchyard of La Visitation on Friday, 23 August 1811.5
