Rene Branche

M, b. 1641, d. 8 January 1681
     Rene was born in 1641 in Fontenay-le-Comte, Vendee, Pays de la Loire, France. Rene married Marguerite-Louise Langlois, daughter of Guillaume Langlois and Jeanne Millet, on 17 February 1665 in ville de Quebec at the Basilica of Notre Dame.1 Rene's wife, Marguerite-Louise, died on 17 December 1665 in ville de Quebec leaving him a widower. He remarried on 22 November 1667 to Marie Varin at Notre Dame de Quebec.2 Rene departed this life on Wednesday, 8 January 1681 in ville de Quebec at age 40 years. He was buried there in the cemetery of Notre Dame on Thursday, 9 January 1681.3
