Guillaume Bouchard

     Guillaume was born circa 1636 in Picardie, Somme, France. He was the son of Laurent Bouchard & Nicole Bourguignon of Neufchatel in Picardie.¹ Guillaume married Francoise Benard on 20 July 1665 in Montreal at the Basilica of Notre Dame.² 1667, Guillaume and Francoise were listed on the Canadian Census in Notre Dame de Montreal. Enumerated in this household were Guillaume Bouchard [35 years], Francoise Benard [39 years], Cecile Janot [11 years], Francoise Janot [9 years], Pierre Janot [7 years], Robert Janot [5 years] & Marie Bouchard [1 month].³ 1681, Guillaume and Francoise were listed on the Canadian Census in Notre Dame de Montreal. Enumerated in this household were Guilluame Bouchard [45 years], Francoise Besnard [52 years], Pierre Janot [21 years], Robert [19 years] & Marie Bouchard [14 years].⁴ Guillaume departed this life between 18 November 1686 and 6 February 1707 in Montreal. He was noted as living at the marriage of his daughter, Marie, and as deceased on his wife's burial record of this date.
