Neeltje Teunise Bogaert

     Neeltje Teunise was born before 23 August 1665 in Wallabout, Kings County, Long Island, New York. She had a twin sister, Annetje. On 23 August 1665, she was christened at the New Amsterdam Reformed Dutch Church in the City, County & State of New York. The witnesses were Jeronymus Rappalje, Pieter Pieterszen Menist, Judith Bayard, & Tryntie Roelofs.¹ Neeltje Teunise married Cornelis Teunise Nyssen, son of Theunis Nyssen (?) and Phoebe Jans Sales, on 22 August 1687 in Flatbush, Kings County, Long Island, New York, at the Reformed Dutch Church.²
