     Barbe was born on Friday, 2 May 1681 in Contrecoeur, Vercheres County, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 3 May 1681 in Tres Ste-Trinitie Church.1 Barbe married Pierre Benoit circa 1707.2 Pierre & Barbe had children: Jacques [1707-7/28/1731], Francois-Marie [3/11/1709-11/03/1792][m. 2/15/1751 Marie-Agathe Chicoine], Jean-Baptiste [4/04/1714-10/26/1757][m. 6/13/1746 Marie Veronique Garault dit St Onge], Pierre [1716-2/08/1779][m. 2/03/1755 Marie Marguerite Chicoine dit Bellevue ], Marc-Antoine [1717-1/25/1768][m. 10/09/1741 Catherine Dufaut & 2nd 5/19/1749 Marie-Jeanne Godere-Emmery], Alexis [7/27/1719-12/13/1785][m. 5/24/1773 Marie Josephe Turcot], Marie-Jeanne [2/12/1722-10/13/1785][m. 1/25/1745 Jean Francois Houle] & Pierre-Antoine [12/04/17252/08/1750].3 Barbe's husband, Pierre, died on 9 June 1733 in Contrecoeur, Vercheres County, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Barbe departed this life on Friday, 2 February 1742 in Contrecoeur at age 60 years and 9 months. She was buried there in the churchyard of Tres Ste-Trinitie on Saturday, 3 February 1742.4
