Dr. Sanford Bissell

Sanford was born before 4 June 1796 in Bolton, Tolland, Connecticut. He was the son of George & Lois [Cone] Bolton. On 4 June 1796, he was christened in Bolton, Tolland, Connecticut.1 Sanford married Asenath Badgley, daughter of Joseph Badgley and Lydia (?), in January 1820 in Greenville Town, Greene County, New York. He was a doctor. The 1820 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Greenville Town, Greene County, New York, the family of Sanford Bissell [010100-10110].2 Sanford and Asenath died on Thursday, 10 May 1821 probably in Greenville Town, Greene County, New York. He was buried at Bolton, Tolland, Connecticut, in the Bolton North Cemetery.3
