Katherine was born in 1626 in Reading, Berkshire, England. Katherine married Lieut. Joseph Hawley circa 1646 in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut.¹ Katherine's husband, Joseph, died before 4 June 1690 in Stratford, leaving her a widow. Katherine departed this life on Wednesday, 25 June 1692 in Stratford at age 66 years. She was buried there in the Old Congregational Church Burying Ground.
