Johan Franciscus was born on Wednesday, 11 March 1711 in Adelsheim, Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis, Wuerttemberg, Germany.3 He was christened there on 26 March 1711 in the Evangelisch Church. His godparents were Franciscus Von Bebenhoffen, Johann Georg Krombag & Mr. Trumbeter.4 Johan married Albertina Charlotha Grau, daughter of Johan George Grau and Maria Francisca (?), on 16 August 1740 in Adelsheim at the Evangelisch Church.5 The family immigrated from Aix [Aachin] la Chapelle, North Rhineland, Westphalia, Germany. This town is near the Belgium - Holland border. It was the birth place of Charlemagne who was buried in the Cathedral there. On Saturday, 14 September 1751, a Frantz Bibler arrived at the courthouse of Philadelphia having arrived on the ship "Saint Andrew" captained by James Abercrombie. "On 31 October 1754, Francis Bibler of Philadelphia, refused to pay the bond fraudently obained from him & Michael Bibler by Conrad Haffner, assigned by George Adam Gaab of Philadelphia, butcher; Michael Bibler is now deceased." [Pennsylvania Gazette]. He died in Rochingham County, Virginia.

  1. [S322] Johan Franciscus Bibler, Notes on His Life, This source is a double book, that is the front is one book and when turned to the back, is another book. The book is decorated with wood cut borders depicting angels, scrolls, flowers, dragons, lions, hounds, birds, helmets, etc., obviouly very ornate. It appears to have been purchased at about the time of Johann's wedding. Much scripture is quoted in the book, the passages emphasize fear vs. love and forgiveness. The hand writing is in the old German script and is difficult to read and to translate. Thus, there has been at least a couple of efforts with results that differ, but not in dates. It is interesting to note that the book was printed in Schabish Hall, roughly 50 miles from Mosbach, where the Biblers were living.
