Genevieve Besnier

F, b. 26 May 1699, d. circa 13 December 1758
     Genevieve was born on Tuesday, 26 May 1699 in Champlain, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. She was christened on the same day there in the church of La Visitation.1 Genevieve married Mathurin Blet, son of Jean Blet dit Gazaille and Jeanne Bouveau, on 5 February 1719 in Sorel, St-Pierre-De Saurel, Quebec, Canada, at St-Pierre Church.2 Mathurin and Genevieve had childrfen: Marie Claire Therese [12/05/1718-4/08/1806][m. 11/23/1739 Jean Baptiste Pierre Joly dit Delbec], Marie Jeanne[5/08/1725-1/21/1799][m. 10/28/1744 Antoine Joly dit Delbec], Mathurin [4/23/1732-6/09/1808][m. 4/23/1759 Ursele Peloquin dit Felix] & Joseph [12/10/1740][m. 4/29/1765 Marie Louise Mandeville]. Genevieve's husband, Mathurin, died circa 28 February 1742 in Sorel, leaving her a widow. Genevieve departed this life in Sorel. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Pierre on Wednesday, 13 December 1758.3
