Samuel was born circa 1630. Samuel married Anna (?) circa 1657. On 1 May 1678, the family was residing at East Greenwich, Kent County, Rhode Island. Samuel made his will on 25 August 1684 at East Greenwich, Kent County, Rhode Island.
Executrix: wife Anna Overseers: Thomas Olney and John Wipple Jr. – To son Edward 70 acres at Providence; To son Samel 60 acres and meadow at World’s End, Providence. To sons William amd Benjamin certain land at East Greenwich equally at age. To wife Anna, homestead land and buildings at East Greenwich for her use while widow and the next day after her marriage, or at her decease to go to son William. To sons William and Benjamin all rights to common at East Greenwhich and to them cooper’s and carpenter’s tools [except a plane to Samuel]. To daughter Priscella £5 at twenty-one or at marriage. To wife all debts goods, chattels , etc.
Samuel departed this life on Monday, 4 September 1684 in East Greenwich. The inventory of Samuel's estate was taken. His inventory was valued at £62 10s. viz: 2 guns, 2 spinning wheels, carpenter’s and cooper’s tools, churn, 3 cows, 2 yearlings, steer, calf, horse, 8 swine, 5 shoats, etc. His will was probated on 23 October 1684.
