     Mathurine was born on Tuesday, 11 June 1652 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada. She was christened there on 28 October 1652 in the Basilica of Notre Dame.¹ Mathurine married Jean Maheu on 18 September 1673 in Chateau-Richer, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada, at the church of La Visitation-de-Notre-Dame.² Mathurine's husband, Jean, died before 2 October 1674 in Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow; On this day, his wife remarried. Mathurine married 2nd Antoine De Serre on 2 October 1674 in Chateau-Richer, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada, at the church of La Visitation-de-Notre-Dame.³ Antoine and Mathurine had children: Michel [7/24/1675-9/09/1712][m. 6/22/1702 Marie Catherine Crevier Bellerive], Antoine [1/27/1677-], Francois [9/13/1678-], Marie Madeleine [9/30/1680-1/03/1758][m. 1/11/1703 Francois Lefebvre Angers Bellecau], Marie Angelique [4/01/1683-7/09/1755][m. Nicolas Langlois], Marie Francoise [9/27/1684-12/17/1749][m. Julien Valentin Gregoire] & Jean Baptiste [10/04/1686].⁴ 1681, Mathurine and her husband, Antoine, were listed on the Canadian Census. Enumerated in this household were Antoine De Serre [43 years], Mathurine Bellanger [30 years], Michel [6 years], Antoine [4 years], Francois [3 years] & Madeleine [2 years].⁵ Mathurine's husband, Antoine, died circa 1 November 1687 in Neuville, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, leaving her a widow. Mathurine married 3rd Francois Gregoire on 26 April 1688 in Pointe-aux-Tremples, Neuville, Quebec, Canada, at St-Francois-de-Sales Church.⁶ Francois and Mathurine had children: Jean Francois [1689-][m. 11/12/1710 Marie Genevieve Leonard dit Durbois], Marie Therese Catherine [1/07/1691-11/26/1749][m. Charles Maufet], Marie Anne [0/01/1695-][m. 6/04/1725 Athanese Letartre]. Mathurine departed this life in Neuville. She was buried there in the churchyard of St-Francois-de-Sales, Pointe-Aux-Tremples on Saturday, 18 January 1698.⁷
