His lands in Bassingbourn and Meldreth, Cambridgeshire, were committed to the custody of William Earl Mareschal, 20 Oct 1229.2

Eve (de Tracy) de Bassingbourne's identity is proven by the Curia Regis Rolls, which shows she was the sister of Henry de Tracy. She had the manor of Morebath, Devon as her maritagium. It passed to her son, Warin de Bassingbourne, Jr.
