Samuel Bartlett

M, b. 1639, d. 26 February 1712
     Samuel was born in 1639 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was the eldest son of Robert and Ann Bartlett.1 He was first married to Mary Bridgeman. Samuel married 2nd Sarah Baldwin, daughter of Joseph Baldwin and Hannah Whitlock, on 21 May 1676 in Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.2 Samuel & Sarah had children: Samuel [8/26/1677-11/19/1746] [m. Sarah Ward], Sarah [1679], Mindwell [1/30/1682-2/26/1712] [m. 1708 Waitstill Strong], Joseph [12/29/1683-8/03/1755] [m. Mercy Dudley], Ebenezer [9/29/1685-11/30/1769] [m. 12/01/1715 Martha Lyman, 2nd. 5/19/1725 Elizabeth Burt & 3rd. 2/05/1729 Sarah Strong], Elizabeth [10/27/1687-8/20/1767] [m. 1705 Roger Clap], Preserved [8/29/1689-2/21/1762] [m. 1/21/1711 Elizabeth Alvord], William [9/11/1693-1/03/1762] [m. 1720 Abigail Lyman], David [5/25/1695-9/12/1740] [Elizabeth Edwards], & Benjamin [12/301696-8/23/1672]. All these children lived to maturity.3 Samuel departed this life on Friday, 26 February 1712 in Northampton at age 73 years.4 He was buried at Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts, in Bridge Sreet Cemetery.5
