Antoine Barthe dit Belleville

     Antoine was born on Wednesday, 28 August 1715 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Jean Baptiste Barthe Belleville and Marie Charlotte Chodillon. He was christened on the same day there in the Basilica of Notre Dame.¹ Antoine married Marie Louise Bergeron, daughter of Jacques Bergeron and Marie-Agnes Grenon, on 9 August 1734 in Lanoraie, Berthier County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Joseph Church.² Antoine and Marie Louise had children: Antoine [8/31/1735-12/11/1808][m. 10/20/1760 Marie Elisabeth Martin], Marie Jeanne [5/12/1738-3/14/1764][m. 8/11/1760 Joseph Brassard], Louis [1/27/1740-11/21/1815][m. 2/02/1761], a child [stillborn 6/__/1742], Antoine Amable [12/21/1743-12/31/1743], Henri Gaspard [11/18/1744-2/07/1776][m. 7/29/1771 Catherine Billard dit Bellefleur], Marie Amable [2/07/1746][m. 5/21/1764 Francois Houde], Joseph 6/21/1748-6/29/1748], Marie Brigitte [5/08/1749-7/22/1749], Jean Baptiste [6/21/1751-3/30/1770], Marie Josephe [11/23/1752-12/13/1752], Angelique [1754-2/16/1802], Marie Louise [11/05/1755-3/09/1762] & Marie Antoine [9/13/1757-11/23/1758]. Antoine's wife, Marie, died on 9 July 1777 in Berthierville, Berthier County, Quebec, Canada, leaving him a widower. He married second 14 May 1782, Marie Therese Mandeville at Berthierville. Antoine departed this life on Tuesday, 2 November 1790 in Berthierville at age 75 years, 2 months and 5 days. He was buried there in the churchyard of Ste-Genevieve on Friday, 5 November 1790.³
