     John was born in Rackheath, County Norfolk, England. According to the rolls, she brought to the marriage lands in Norfolk including lands in Saxthorp, Toft-Hall manor in Shotesham & the manor of Rackey. They are of record holding these properties in 1392 [15 Richard II]. John married Margaret (?) circa 1390. It is noted that John Yelverton of Rackheath had purchased Yelverton Manor and the advowson of Oliver Wythe. In 1391, the estate is on record as being wholly owned by John and his wife, Margaret.3 He was the recorder of Norwich in 1403. John departed this life before 1410. His wife had remarried in this year. He was buried at Norwich, County Norfolk, England, in the cathedral church of the Holy and Undivided Trinity.

    1444 – Owned by William Yelverton Justice of the King’s Bench
    1499 – William Yelverton junior, son of William Yelverton, Knight the judge, had the estate at his father’s death.
    3 May 1518 – this William Yelverton of Rackheath [William Junior above] died seized of the property intestate – James Holmes administered the estate in right of his wife Anne, sister and heir of the deceased
