Joseph Woodruff

     Joseph was born on Wednesday, 5 March 1698 in Kensington, New Haven County, Connecticut. He was the son of John & Elizabeth [Thomson] Woodruff.¹ Joseph married Margaret North, daughter of Nathaniel North and Margaret Holcomb, on 29 May 1735 in Farmington. Joseph & Margaret had children: Margaret [4/07/1736][m. 1st Jonathan Whatles & 2nd Elijah Porter of Farmington]; Dorcas [4/08/1739][m. Cornelius Dunham]; Sarah [1744][m. 11/03/1775 Asahel Goodrich]; & Joseph Jr. [9/04/1753][m. 1st 1771 Roda Hollister, 2nd widow Abigail [Smith] Hooker & 3rd widow Prudence [Spellman] Wright].
