George Woolsey1

George was born on Wednesday, 27 October 1610 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England. He was the son of Rev. Benjamin Woolsey of Yarmouth, England. George married Rebecca Cornell, daughter of Thomas Cornell and Rebecca Briggs, on 9 December 1647.2 George came from England to America in 1623/4. He was a partner of Isaac AIlerton of Plymouth, and apparently his representative in New York. He was Town Clerk of Jamaica, L. I. George departed this life on Sunday, 17 August 1698.
