     John was born. John married Joan (?) in Northamptonshire, England. John made his will on 20 April 1593.

In the name of god amen the xx th day of Aprill in Anno Dm 1593 I John Wodwarde of Rushden in the countie of Northampton husbandman beinge sicke in body by the visitacon
of god but yet in good and perfecte memorie god be praysed therefore doe make and ordaine this my testament wherein is conteyned my laste will in manner and forme followinge first I geve and bequeath my soule unto the hands of almighty god my heavenlie father and to Jesus Christ his sonne and to the holie ghoste by whom in whom I trust to be saved and to have forgevenes of all my sinnes & c. Item I geve and bequeath unto the church of Rushden xiij d to be paied immediately after my decease. Item I geve and bequeath unto Lambert Woodward one halfe roode of barley land redie sowen in the tilth field to be paide him the nexte harvest followinge and also one other roode of barley redie sowen on harveste which shalbe in Ano Dm 1594. Item I geve and bequeath unto the foure daughters of Agnis Wodward either of them xij d to be paide them immediatlie after my decease. Item I geve and bequeath to Thomas Smith the Mason and to John Betsoe either of them one bushel of barley to be paide them in like maner. Item I geve unto John Goby the sonne of George Goby one browne heffer to be paied him imediatlie after my departure. Item I geve unto Elizabeth Goby one ewe and a lambe to be paide her on like manner. I geve unto George Goby all my horses cartes and carte geares ploughes and ploughe geares with all other implimentes belonginge to husbandry. Item I geve unto the said George v l of currante English monie which is owinge unto me. Item all the reste of my goods and cattels unbequeathed I geve and bequeath unto Joane Wodward my wyfe and to the same George Goby whom I make myne executors together and all other wills I utterlie revoke and will that this shall stande and noe other nor otherwise - - Witnesses to the same Richard Mey William Boyfilde Oliver Latimer.1

John departed this life on Saturday, 24 April 1593 in Rushden. He was buried there in the churchyard of St. Mary after 24 April 1593.2
