John Wood

     John was born circa 22 March 1584 in Shelf-North Oram, Halifax Parish, Yakima County, Washington. On 22 March 1584, he was christened in Halifax, Halifax Parish, Yorkshire, England, at St. John the Baptist Church. John married Dorothy Moakson on 30 December 1609 in Halifax, Halifax Parish, Yorkshire, England, at St. John the Baptist Church. John's wife, Dorothy, died before 27 May 1618 in Shelf-North Oram, Halifax Parish, Yakima County, Washington, leaving him a widower. John made his will on 27 May 1618 at Shelf-North Oram, Halifax Parish, Yakima County, Washington.

To my three children, Susan, Mary & John all my messuages & lands in Shelfe & all my other goods & chattels equally amongst them saving three pounds 10 shillings to be taken out for the bringing up of my daughter Mary. My executor to be my brother, Edmund Wood & my loving brother-in-law, Matthew Wood. Witnesses: William Ambler, Godfrey Walker, Edmund Wood & Gilbert Longbotham.

John departed this life before 3 May 1619 in Shelf-North Oram, Halifax Parish, Yakima County, Washington. His will was probated on 3 May 1619.
