Ruhamah was born on Friday, 10 April 1744 in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Ruhamah married in Connecticut. Tradition says that she married a young man, in opposition to her father's wish, with whom he had taught the carpenter's trade amd settled in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Ruhamah died probably in Wilkes-Barre, Wyoming Valley, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
