Samuel Wells

     Samuel was born in 1662 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was the son of Thomas & Hannah [Tuttle] Wells. Samuel married Ruth Judson, daughter of Joseph Judson and Sarah Porter, in 1683 in Stratford, Fairfield County, Connecticut, at the Old Congregational Church. Samuel & Ruth had children: Joshua [8/29/1684], Hannah [11/22/1690][m. Mr. Buell], Samuel [12/26/1693][m. Esther Elsworth], Ruth [1/29/1696[m. Daniel Ely], Sarah [12/16/1700][m. John Clark], Rebecca [10/03/1703][m. Thomas Pitkin] & James [1706-2/10/1725]. Samuel made his will on 29 June 1733 at Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. Samuel departed this life on Saturday, 3 October 1733 in Hartford at age 71 years.¹ His will was probated on 6 November 1733.
