     Sir Roger de was born in Stanford, Worchestershire, England. Sir married Margaret (?) before 1316 in England. He and Margaret were blessed with 2 children and possibly others. Sir Roger had property in Washbourne & Stanford. His name is on the rolls of the birth places in 1327; also on the rolls in 1332 & 1333 under Stanford. In the Nonarun Inquisition of 1340, John joins in the declaration as to the church at Overbury [Little Washbourne]. His name is found on the rolls under Stanford in 1346 & 1358. He was the patron of the living at Stanford & appointed three incumbents to the church.
