     Josiah was born circa 1700 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. He did not appear on the 1698 census with his parents. Josiah married Patience Corwin on 25 February 1724 in the Town of Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.2 Josiah removed in 1728 to Orange County, New York.
