     Abigail was born in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts. On 18 May 1644, she was christened in Salem, Essex County, Massachusetts, at the First Church. Abigail married Captain Joseph Horton, son of Barnabas Horton and Anne Smith, in the Town of Southold. Joseph & Abigail had children: Joseph [Mary Hallock], John [m. Sarah Vail], Benjamin & Janet.
