Marie-Madeleine Turcot

     Marie-Madeleine was born on Monday, 3 March 1687 in Champlain, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Jacques Turcot & Anne Desrosiers. She was christened there on 4 March 1687 in the church of La Visitation.¹ Marie-Madeleine married Francois Rivard, son of Pierre Rivard dit Lanouette and Catherine Trottier, on 6 February 1712 in Batiscan, Les Chenaux County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Francois-Xavier Church.² Francois & Marie-Madeleine had children: Marie Louise-Catherine [2/26/1712-6/05/1795][m. 1/24/1735 Charles Francois Pepin], Francois [11/11/1713-11/22/1765][m. 1/20/17153 Marie Josephe Dehayes], Marie-Therese [11/01/1715-1/11/1777][m.8/30/1734 Pierre Auger], Marie-Josephte [5/25/1718-4/23/1804][m. 11/08/1740 Jean Nicolas Vezina], Marguerite Genevieve [4/26/1720-12/23/1802][m. 7/24/1741 Francois Poisson dit Gentilly], Pierre [2/02/1722-11/08/1807][m. 1/07/1754 Marie Agathe Vaillant] & Joseph [12/30/1723-4/17/1788][m. 10/14/1752 Marie-Josephe Richard dit Fry].³ Marie-Madeleine departed this life in Champlain. She was buried there in the churchyard of la Visitation on Monday, 8 May 1724.⁴
