Nicolas Trudel

     Nicolas was born on Tuesday, 4 April 1662 in Chateau-Richer, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada. He was the son of Jean Trudelle & Marguerite Thomas. He was christened there on 12 April 1662 in the church of La Visitation-de-Notre-Dame.¹ Nicolas married Barbe Letartre, daughter of Rene Letartre and Louise Goulet, on 14 January 1684 in L'Ange-Gardien, Montmorency County, Quebec, Canada, at the church of L'Ange-Gardien.² Nicolas & Barbe had children: Marguerite [10/29/1684], Marie-Madeleine [5/30/1686-9/08/1735][m. 8/01/1712 Jacques Gendron dit Lafontaine & 2nd 2/17/1732 Raymond Fourmy], Barbe [10/10/1689-2/12/1720][m. 4/16/1708 Antoine Parent], Jean [5/03/1692-9/24/1764][m. 11/04/1715 Marie Michelle Nolin], Marie Therese [1/09/1694-5/18/1765][m. 4/13/1711 Jean Choret & 2nd 10/08/1715 Guillaume Nolin], Genevieve [3/02/1696-1/12/1748][m. 4/28/1727 Etienne Parent], Marie Louise [12/20/1697-5/12/1762][m. 2/08/1717 Jean Julien], Marie [8/15/1700][m. 9/25/1724 Prisque Trepanier], Nicolas Francois [4/29/1702-3/04/1703] & Nicolas [10/02/1704][m. 4/06/1728 Claire Tardif].³ Nicolas departed this life on Thursday, 7 April 1729 in ville de Quebec, Quebec, Canada, at Hotel-Dieu at age 67 years and 3 days. He was buried there in the cemetery of the Hotel-Dieu on Friday, 8 April 1729.⁴
