     William was born circa 1545 in Saxlingham, Nethergate, County Norfolk, England. William and his wife had a daughter Elizabeth [1567-9/27/1585] [m. Sir Roger Dalyson].2 In 1585, he was living in Newton, County Norfolk.3 William departed this life in 1591 in County Norfolk, England.

    The arms from the tomb of Lady Dalyson, daughter of William Tuthill, have already been described.
    [NOTE: The book, The History and Antiquities of the County of Norfolk, by Clavering, located in the Library of the University of California, gives a rather detailed acount of the ownership of Thorpe Hall Manor in Saxlingham beginning in the 1100's down thru the 1600's and does not mention the Tuthill family. The National Archives of the UK has documentation of the succession of the manor as well, again, no mention of the Tuthill family. - KLM]

These arms, without the crest, are found in the church of Trowse-with-Newton, Norfolkshire, England, on the tomb of Elizabeth, wife of Sir Roger Dalyson, daughtrer of William Tuthill, of Newton, Gent., and granddaughter of John Tuthill, of Saxlingham. She died 27 Sept., 1585, in her 19th year.
