Jacob was born on Tuesday, 30 July 1793 in Argyle, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. Jacob died while he was at sea between 1825 and 1830. He & his brother Nathaniel were both aboard a fishing ship which broke apart when hitting rocks during a storm.
