Enoch was born in 1760. Enoch married Anna Torrey, daughter of Samuel Torrey II and Abigail Crowell, on 12 March 1785 in Middletown. According to an article in a Connecticut paper of 30 June 1796, Enoch and Anna had 15 children in 11 years, which included 4 sets of twins born in succession.1 The 1800 U.S. Federal Census enumerates at Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut, the family of Enoch Tuell [1101:21011].2 Enoch departed this life on Thursday, 27 February 1823 in Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut.3
