     Ralf de was born circa 1030 in Tosni, Normandy, France. He was also refered to as Raoul de Tosny & Conches de Toeny.. He originally had the position of "standard bearer" which he gave to Walter Giffard in orde to fight closer to William the Conqueror at the Battle of Hasings in 1066. He had widely spread holdings in Domesday & his seat was in Flamstead in Hertfordshire. He also held Clifford Castle.1 Ralf married Isabell de Montfort, daughter of Simon de Montfort I and Isabel de Broyles, circa 1076 in Il de France, France. His seat was at Flamstead, St. Alban's, Hertfordshire, England. Ralf departed this life on Monday, 24 March 1102 in Conches, Seine-et-Marne, Ile-de -France, France. He was buried at Conches, Seine-et-Marne, Ile-de -France, France.
