     John was born circa 1650 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. He wast the son of John and Tabitha Thomas. John married Lydia Parker, daughter of Edward Parker and Elizabeth Wood, on 12 January 1671/72 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut.2 John and Lydia had children: Sarah [12/13/1672], Abigail [11/24/1674-4/10/1733] [m. 1697 Richard Lounsbury], John [3/03/1675-6/13/1747] [m. Mary Ford & 2nd Hannah Lines], Elizabeth [cira 1677-3/04/1763] [m. Joseph Mansfield], Ann [4/20/1678], Josiah [1/15/1679] [m. 3/01/1720 Elizabeth Johnson], Lydia [1681-4/04/1765] [m. 12/19/1706 Nathaniel Potter & 2nd Thomas Beach], Mary [5/09/1687], Ann [12/16/1688] [m. 1/27/1720 Jasper Gunn], Caleb [12/16/1688-12/03/1773]. John made his will on 9 May 1712 at New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. He makes his wife, Lydia as his executrix and mentions all of his children. John departed this life in New Haven. The inventory of John's estate was taken on Monday, 25 July 1712. His estate was valued at £207.
