Thomas was born in Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island.1 He was christened there on 8 October 1671.1 Thomas married Mehitable Tripp in 1695 at Massachusetts. Thomas made his will on 20 March 1730 at Freetown, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
Exs. Brother-in-law Peleg Tripp, of Rhode Island, and wife Mehitable. To wife Mehitable, all moveables within and without doors except great bible. The house and land to be sold for debts, etc, and surplus remaining to be for wife and eleven children, divided as follows: To wife and sons Edward, Thomas, Peleg, Jonathan, Samuel and John, equally in seven shares, only £20 advance to wife and £20 to Thomas. To daughters Ruth Eddy, Elizabeth Thurston, Anne Sprague, Mehitable Joslin and Mary Thurston, £100, the dour eldest daughters having £60 and what they already had and daughter Mary receiving £40.2
