Rev. William Thompson

     William was born in England. He was the son of Reverand William and Abigail Thompson of Braintree. He graduated from Harvard in 1653 and was established as a preacher in Springfield, Massachusetts the following year. He served the communities where he lived including communitcating with the local Indians.1 William married Katherine Treat, daughter of Richard Treat and Alice Gaylord, on 19 November 1655 in Boston in the Massachuetts Bay Colony by They were married by the governor John Endecott.2,3
