Joanna was born in 1597 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. Joanna married Dr. John Greene, son of Richard Greene and Mary Hooker, on 4 November 1619 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, at the church of St. Thomas.¹ On 6 April 1635, Joanna & her husband, John,left from Hampton aboard the ship, "James", mastered by William Cooper, bound for New England. Listed among the passengers were John Greene, his wife & six chilldren. After a voyage of fifty-eight days, they arrived at Boston the 3rd of June..² Joanna died in 1642 in Conimicut, Kent County, Rhode Island, shortly after their arrival at Warwick.
