Marie Genevieve Tapin

     Michel and Marie Genevieve had children: Marie Genevieve [10/23/1757], Francois [5/19/1759][m. 10/18/1784 Marie Angelique Ouvrard dit Laperriere], Francoise [7/13/1761][m. 8/19/1782 Nicolas Julien], Michel [5/09/1764-6/04/1819][m. 9/29/1806 Marie Anne Jobin], Etienne [3/05/1771][m. 10/16/1797 Marie Madeleine Garneau], Catherine [1772][m. 2/04/1805 Louis Drolet] & Genevieve [4/06/1772]. Marie Genevieve was born on Wednesday, 16 September 1733 in St-Augustin de-Desmaures, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. She was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Tapin and Marie Francoise Frichette. She was christened there on 18 September 1733 in St-Augustin Church.¹ Marie Genevieve married Michel Gingras, son of Philippe Gingras and Suzanne Monin dit Lafleur, on 10 January 1757 in St-Augustin de-Desmaures, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada, at St-Augustin Church.² Marie's husband, Michel, died on 11 May 1800 in St-Augustin de-Desmaures leaving her a widow. Marie departed this life on Saturday, 23 February 1811 in St-Augustin de-Desmaures at age 77 years, 5 months and 7 days. She was buried there in the cemetery of St-Augustin Church on Monday, 25 February 1811.³
