Nicolas was born on Tuesday, 7 July 1699 in Neuville, Portneuf County, Quebec, Canada. He was christened there on 8 July 1699 in St-Francois-de-Sales Church, Pointe-Aux-Tremples.^1,2 Nicolas married Marie Elisabeth Isabelle Laporte dit St-Georges, daughter of Louis Laporte dit St-Georges and Marie-Madeleine Maseau, on 16 February 1721 in St-Sulpice, Quebec, Canada, at St-Sulpice Church.³ Nicolas departed this life in Ile-DuPas, Quebec, Canada. He was buried there in the churchyard of La Visitation on Monday, 13 April 1750.⁴
