Samuel Sutliffe

     Samuel was born on Friday, 18 September 1733 in Wallingford, New Haven County, Connecticut. He was the son of John Sutliff and Mehitable Plumb. Samuel married Eunice Curtis, daughter of James Curtis and Hannah Coe, on 21 March 1755 in Durham, Middlesex County, Connecticut. Samuel and Eunice had children: Plumb, Levi [bp. 5/28/1769][m. Hannah Owen], Hannah [bp.12/19/1762], Nathan [6/18/1758], David [7/16/1760] [m. Jamima], Samuel [4/09/1765-2/07/1840] [m. 5/19/1793 Ruth Granger], Eunice [3/22/1767] [m. 2/26/1787 Timothy Cole Crosby], Abia [circa 1770], Rhoda [2/11/1772] [m. 11/27/1793 Perry Sheldon]. They settled in Haddam, Connecticut. Samuel made his will on 19 September 1798 at Hartland, Hartford County, Connecticut. Samuel departed this life on Monday, 6 May 1799 in Hartland at age 65 years, 7 months and 18 days. His will was probated on 24 May 1799.
