He was a supervisor in Unidalla in 1852 & 1853. His nephew, W. S. [42 New York] & Belle Furgeson [27 New York], John Sr is a farmer, his son John is teaching school and Belle is teaching music.
6 John departed this life on Monday, 21 October 1889 in Unadilla Township at age 83 years, 8 months and 28 days. He died from jaundice.
