John was born circa 1647 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. John married 2nd Rachel Beard, daughter of Richard Beard III and Rachel Robins, in 1677 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. John made his will at Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
John Stimson, 22 October 1688 - To wife Rachel executrix, entire estate during life; she care for children - Land to pass as follows: To son John, 600 acres, part of 1118 acres contained in 2 tracts of land viz., "Stinsons Choice" and "Mertyon's Fancy" - To daughters Rachel and Comfort, residue of said tracts - Sons to be 18 years and daughters to be 17 years to inherit - To Rachel Robinson and Ruth Clarke equally said lands in event of death of all children aforesaid without issue.1
John departed this life in Anne Arundel County. His will was probated on 23 January 1689.
