     Obadiah was born circa 1635 probably at Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Obadiah married Mary Disborough circa 1666 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, at the First Church. Obidiah & Mary had children: Obidiah [7//29/1666-8/22/1741] [m. Ruth Kelsey], Thomas 1667-6/14/1761] [m. Sarah Meakins] Samuel [1670-4/20/1756] [m. Deborah Beckley], Ebenezer, Mary, John [10/04/1673-7/08/1750] [m. Sarah Smith] & Disborough [1679-1763] [m. Abigail Elmer]. Obadiah's wife, Mary, died in 1709 in Hartford leaving him a widower. Obadiah made his will on 22 June 1709.

He grants to his eldest son Obadiah the lands house and buildings already deeded over to him. Legacies in terms of cash and other properties are bequeathed to his other sons, Thomas, John, Disbrow & Samuel. He gives to his daughter, Mary King, household movables etc.

He wrote a codicil to his will on 2 May 1712. In a codicil, he acknowledged the death of his daughter, Mary, and gives her legacies to his son John. Obadiah departed this life in Hartford. He was buried there in Center Cemetery. His will was probated on 26 May 1712.
