Elizabeth was born in Stotfold, Bedfordshire, England. She was christened there on 31 October 1602 in the church of St. Mary's. She, along with her two cousins, Sarah & Hannah Bland, were bequeathed in her Uncle Richard Spencers's will of 17 March 1645 a messuage on Grace Church Street in London.
