Enos Smith
M, b. 14 November 1754, d. 5 October 1818
Enos was born on Thursday, 14 November 1754 in Orange County, New York. He was the son of William & Mary [Cory] Smith. Enos married Phebe Vail, daughter of Isaiah Vail and Abigail Meeker, on 4 December 1780 in Orange County, New York. Enos & Phebe had children: Luther [8/08/1781], Isaiah W. [12/19/1783], child [12/19/1786], Sarah [6/21/1789], Abigail [1/01/1792], Nathaniel [9/21/1795], William [6/20 /1797], John [10/20/17 99], Irena [9/20/1802] & Phebe Marion [7/02/1806]. He was a blacksmith. He served in the American Revolution & was in the Battle at White Plains. Enos's wife, Phebe, died on 25 May 1801 in Scotchtown, Orange County, New York, leaving him a widower.1 Enos departed this life on Monday, 5 October 1818 in Scotchtown at age 63 years, 10 months and 21 days. He was buried there in Scotchtown Cemetery.
