     Samuel was born before 8 February 1625/26 in Whatfield, County Suffolk, England. On 8 February 1625/26, he was christened in Whatfield, County Suffolk, England, at St. Margaret's Chrch. Samuel married Rebecca Smith. It appears that Rebecca was unhappy with this marriage & had another love, Nathaniel Borman. He left her as an honorable move so that she could free herself & marry the man she loved. He went to Virginia before 1664 & did not return. She married Nathaniel in 1669.
