James made his will before 12 March 1810 at Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York. He leaves his wife, Anne, 600 pounds & interest on 500 pounds for life. His estate was to be liquidated and divided into four equal parts and divided amongst his four children. He mentions his children: Samuel, Susan in trust, Anne, wife of Alexander McDonal, and his deceased daughter, Elizabeth wife of a Cornwell Elizabeth's share to be divided amongst her children.3 James departed this life before 12 March 1810 in Hempstead Town, Queens County, Long Island, New York.
