Enos Smith

     Enos was born on Thursday, 14 November 1754 in Orange County, New York. He was the son of William & Mary [Cory] Smith. Enos married Phebe Vail, daughter of Isaiah Vail and Abigail Meeker, in 1780 in Orange County, New York. He was a blacksmith. He served in the American Revolution & was in the Battle at White Plains. Enos's wife, Phebe, died on 25 May 1801 in Orange County, New York, leaving him a widower. Enos departed this life on Monday, 5 October 1818 in Orange County, New York.
