Elizabeth was born in Mistley Parish, County Essex, England. She was christened there on 4 November 1621 in the Church of St Mary. Elizabeth married Thwaite Strickland in 1646 in Dedham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. Thwaite and Elizabeth had children: Elizabeth [4/15/1647] [m. 1668 John Andrews], John [2/17/1649] [m. 9/01/1676 Esther Smith], Rebecca [1/19/1651- d.y.], Joseph [1/22/1655-2/09/1702] [m. Elizabeth], Jonathan [6/23/1657] [m. Mary Stanborough] & Ephraim [2/02/1663] [single]. Elizabeth's husband, Thwaite, died before 21 June 1670 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, leaving her a widow. On 30 June 1674 her uncle, Gregory Wolterton, gave her 30 acres of land which is to go to her sons, then to go to her sons, John, Joseph, Jonathan and Ephraim Strickland. On 17 July 1674 in his will, he also gave her 1 pound. In her father's will of 1 October 1674, she also received one sixth of her father's estate.3 Elizabeth departed this life on Tuesday, 30 March 1694 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut.
