     Katherine "Kate" E. was born on Monday, 15 November 1852 in Tiffin, Clinton Township, Seneca County, Ohio. Katherine "Kate" E. married Johann Wilhelm Meinzer, son of Charles Fredrich Meinzer and Katrina Hauger, on 11 January 1872 in Seneca County, Ohio.2 Katherine & William had one child: William [May 1873]. William married ca. 1903 Matilda [ca. 1872] in Fremont, Ohio and had children: Carlton [ca. 1904], Anton [ca. 1906], Catherine [ca. 1908], & John ca. 1910. He worked as a salesman for Grand Union Trunk. Katherine's husband, Wilhelm, died in 1873 in Seneca County, Ohio, leaving her a widow. Katherine "Kate" E. married Anton Stimpfle on 28 March 1878 in Seneca County, Ohio.3 Katherine and Anton had one child: Bertha [1/26/1879[m. 10/28/1902 Willard Wentz]. 8 June 1880, Katherine and her husband, Anton, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Hopewell Township, Seneca County, Ohio. Enumerated in this household were Anthony Stimpfle [46 Whittenberg - laborer], his wife: Catherine [27 Ohio], children: William Meinser [6 Ohio], & Bertha [1 Ohio].4 12 June 1900, Katherine and her husband, Anton, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Tiffin, Clinton Township, Seneca County, Ohio, at 79 Sandusky Street. Enumerated in this household were Anthone Stimpfle [66 Germany - October 1833], his wife: Kate [47 Ohio - November 1852], daughter, Bertha [21 Ohio - January 1879]. The have been married 22 years. Kate had two children, two living. He immigrated to this country 1865 and is a naturalized citizen. They own a home. Anthone is a emery wheel worker.5 21 April 1910, Katherine and her husband, Anton, were listed on the U.S. Federal Census in Fremont City, Sandusky County, Ohio, at 4th Street. Enumerated in this household were Anthony Stimpfle [76 Germany - janitor in public schools] & his wife: Katherine [57 Ohio]. They have been married 30 years.6 Katherine's husband, Anton, died on 8 February 1914 in Fremont City leaving her a widow. At the time of her brother, Henry's death in 1918, she was living in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Katherine departed this life on Saturday, 26 April 1941 in Fremont City, Sandusky County, Ohio.

Obituary - Mrs. Katherine Stimpfle – Fermont, April 26 – Mrs. Katherine Stimpfle, 87 died at her home early Sunday following an illness of complications. Services will be held at the Weller – Wonderly Funeral Home at 2 P.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Lawrence S. Price, paster of Grace Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery, The former Kartherine Smith, the deceased was born in Tiffin, Nov. 15m 1852, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Smilth. She was married in 1871 to William Meincer, who died in 1873, and later married Anthony Stimpfle, who died in 1914. Surviving are one son, William Meincer, Fremont; three grandchildren and two great-grand children. [Sandusky Register, Sandusky Ohio; April 29,1941]7

She was buried at Fremont City, Sandusky County, Ohio, in the Oakwood Cemwetery.
